Oak Manor Farms, located just outside of New Hamburg, is owned and operated by Perry Reibling. Oak Manor is committed to organic agriculture and has become a world-class processor of organic grains, cereals and pastas.
Founded in Oxford County in 1943, Oak Manor Farm's roots began with progressive farmer named Delton Reibling and 150 acres of land. The Reibling family was one of the first to bring electricity to the community for their dairy and seed cleaning farm. Oak Manor was the first organic mill in Ontario and the second organic mill in Canada when it was founded by Dave Reibling in 1975. Back then, the organic industry was very much in its infancy and markets for organic products were few and far between.
Today the Reibling family continues to transform grain grown by local farmers into top quality flour and grain products. In addition to spelt, they also mill other regional grains such as rye, oats, wheat, and flax. These products, which include flour, berries, flakes and cereal, are sold to area natural food stores, independent retailers, and even to larger food chains.
