Imagine spending a relaxing afternoon tasting a tantalizing array of appetizers prepared by teams of the area’s finest chefs and farmers. Foodlink Waterloo Region’s seventh annual local food showcase returns to Riverside Meadows Park in St. Jacobs. Guests will be able to meet and chat with chefs about the art of cooking and farmers about the local food they grow. Each guest will receive a “passport” providing information about the participating farms and restaurants. The event offers an opportunity to learn more about local foods while building relationships amongst farmers, restaurants and consumers. A limited number of passports will be available. Cost is $65 per person until August 31; $75 after September 1 (includes all tastings and pottery plate). Only 400 tickets available. Last year we sold out!
