In a downtown core that specializes in expensive (often overpriced) Italian, I was shocked to learn this place existed in a neighbourhood I've lived in for 8 years. How have I never discovered it before? I assume the place is family run, and it's got...a home feel to it. The food was simple and satisfying (in a good way) with the $18 prix fixe menu a bargain in my opinion. One of us got the soup, the other a salad (tasty) but the pastas really shone in my mind. The bolognese and carbonara were each distinct and savoury, and generous in portion. I'm happy to have found a spot that will help with my Italian cravings, support local businesses and not break my budget. Be back soon!More
