Oak Tree Tavern

We happened upon the Oak Tree Tavern while out cycling with our dog. We decided to stop after seeing their Dog Friendly Patio sign. Not only is this a great place for lounging and people watching, they have a shady dog spot with water and…all of the food is delicious! We were pleasantly surprised with the location, food, service and atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try some more of their menu items and lounge with the pup.

I stumbled across this place by accident as the top place in the search for somewhere that catered for a vegetarian coeliac was a complete disappointment. Luckily this place was across the road and had one of the best gluten free beers I’ve tasted. There…was a wide choice of food and most things on the menu could be adapted.

Well three outa four ain’t bad. Service was good and friendly , music was excellent as was the whiskey n beer. Unfortunately the burger had the potential but was seriously over done as were the yam fries. So it was a bomb. So You Gotta…Eat Here flies out the window. Told the server and again although apologetic no adjustment to my bill. Now I did eat most of the meal but I was very hungry. Could a been an off day but more than likely won’t go back.
