Ambrosia Veggie House

You know folks , this is for those who have given negative or lower stars for this restaurant . Think about the below points 1) It is almost impossible to find 100% Chinese veggie/ vegan restaurant in Calgary where meat of any sort is not…served. 2)This restaurant does not have a meaty smell which is not appreciated by vegans,3)it is run by a group of seniors who do this out of their hobby / spare time or time pass . They do it with great love !4)Taste/ amount of food/ variety/ is decent for the price they charge in my opinion. 5)They are organised/ do have a smile on their face and do keep the place professionally approachable/ clean. My family has lots of allergies / concerns about meat products so we prefer all vegan restaurants,it is one we will surely recommend !More

Lovely little restaurant adjacent to the magnificent temple. Open weekday lunchtimes. It’s a fabulous buffet of multiple dishes, all different, all fascinating, all delicious. There is also a salad bar and dessert. And white, brown and fried rice. Lots of options for teas and other…non-alcoholic drinks. Staff are friendly and helpful and keen to make sure you have a good meal (without wasting food). Help yourself to the delicious options as many times as you like. I tried everything from the spicy kimchi, through the curried fish, the deep-fried tofu and wontons, to the delicious vegetable dishes. So much choice, such great food. Don’t miss this if you’re in town during the week for lunch.
