Afghan Kitchen is the manifestation of a young boy’s dream. He roamed the streets of Kabul in his sandals and saw how hard his family worked to sustain themselves. In the times of war, they moved to different neighbouring countries until they finally came to Canada.
Afghan Kitchen presents you the vision of the young boy’s very own restaurant since he was six years old. Every corner of Afghan Kitchen is thoughtfully curated. Every dish uses mum’s recipe.
This is a family-owned and -run business that reflects the best of Afghan roots, traditions, and values. Afghan Kitchen is the taste of home.

This was our first visit to the Afghan Kitchen and we were very pleased. The food was very tasty, well presented and large portions. Great variety of choice and the alcohol prices were very reasonable (particulalry during Happy Hour). Even with the Covid patio dining only restrictions the service was quick and the staff were delighted at being able to serve guests. Highly recommend!

I visited this restaurant over the weekend and I was amazed by the quality of food and service. The food was delicious and we had plenty of left overs the next day after ordering the platter for two. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely visit again! Violet
The best place ever! Service is always friendly and prompt, food is terrific and very well priced, and the drinks are delicious!!
The service is excellent. Patio only on some parking spaces, so the ambience is nil, but that is not the restaurant’s fault-pandemic rules. First time there for me. Will definitely go back. The food is interesting and appealingly presented. Lots of vegetarian options as well as a variety of meats. Reasonably priced. Have some offerings like dinner for 2, dinner for 4 that are quite reasonable. Some happy hour selections, including $5 tap beer.

Fantastic food, lots of flavour and many options to choose from. If you are looking for something different, definitely give this a try. I was very impressed. I don’t eat meat, so it was great to see many vegetarian options.

Worth the 40KM travel , live up to its reputation and reviews on-line. We tried Shammi Kabab , Lamb Shoulder and both were huge portions and tasty. Ambience is nice and cozy , have patio option as well if you want. Added to my favorite list.
There is so much to be impressed about at Afghan Kitchen! The food is wonderful, the staff are friendly and kind. The YVR to KBL platter was a feast for the eyes and the palate. Tasty cocktails too. This was our second time here and there are many more items we want to try.
