I have been to Cafe Lezard twice now. The first time I went on a Sunday afternoon at the beginning of September 2018 with a friend. I had the house lemonade which was very good and my friend had a bowl of caffee latte. I...am not sure if he liked it as I didn't ask him but he drank it all so it couldn't have been horrible. I went again a couple of weeks later in September mid week for a late dinner. My friend and I both had the chile which came with a salad. It was good and the portion was just perfect for the both of us. I also had a glass of chianti which was good and went well with the chile. They seem to have a decent list of wines. My friend and I shared the creme brule. The taste was good but the centre was not firm at all, almost liquidy so I think they need some work there. I ordered the London Fog which was perhaps on the slightly too sweet side and I tend to like it sweet so it might be even more the case for people who don't like it sweet at all. My friend had a jasmine tea and that was fine. I love the calm and mellow vibe there and the retro lighting. So many places blast music nowadays as if we were all going deaf or didn't wish to have a conversation with the person in front of us. Or they bombard you with TV screens which makes no sense to me unless you're a sports bar. I don't go out to watch TV and don't need to have one everywhere I go. Thank goodness this places gets that. There are some books along the wall which I love. My friend and I found the chairs which slant backwards uncomfortable. The seating alongside the wall however is fine. The service was ok, nothing great. I will definitely be going again to try other dishes and drinks. I'd love to go when they have a band playing.
