We live in Montreal but are from the Maritimes. We decided to give this place a go, and were supremely disappointed. We ordered lobster rolls, garlic fingers, a seafood dip, and some oysters. The oysters were the only redeeming feature of the experience, as they...were well-priced ($2.00 a piece on a 'non-oyster special' night) and really tasty. The garlic fingers were tasty but nowhere near worth it, as they were $10.00 for a tiny portion. I mean, think the kitty-cat garlic fingers from Pizza Delight size, but not half as delicious taste. The lobster rolls tasted like tarragon and nothing else. Fries were tasty and sauces were on-point. Dip was not great and had about 6 chips. Our friends had been before and said the donair was tasty but the portion was laughable, and that the poutine râpée was not "NB standard." Here is what made the lack-luster food and overall experience inexcusable: 1) the bill was over 100.00 each and 2) the wait-time was absurd. The waiters were friendly for sure but did not make any frequent checks on us, offer any apology for the wait time/updates on progress. Saw them give another table (who had been there less time than us) a round of shots, for their wait. Some of us work in the food industry currently, and at one point each of us that were there all have in the past, so we are used to longer waits sometimes and are certainly not the group of people who "just expect delicious food to materialize instantly upon being seated." For the portion-sizes and quality of dishes, it was way over-priced. By the end, we were all just looking forward to leaving. Not the "down-home Acadian" fix I was hoping for, personally, and other than going for cheap oysters I would caution against wasting your money here.
