I had lunch here two days apart during a recent visit to Victoria and I declare Part and Parcel my favorite restaurant in Victoria. What makes it special? The combination of interesting textures and a brilliant use of acidity that brings out a world of...flavors. The steelhead trout dish had two different treatments of trout, both perfectly cooked. A fresh fish filet whose flesh was luscious and moist against its crispy square of skin. On the same plate, several croquettes— again a shatteringly crisp exterior and a creamy interior to swipe through celeriac ranch dressing and some crisp Dino kale. Cornichons. I had it twice. The prices are very reasonable too. The room is small and bright, the service is friendly and simple: you order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. Good to come before noon or after 1:30.
