Tango has now been replaced by Frank's on Macleod and is absolutely fantastic! My girlfriend and I met recently for lunch and shared several dishes to experience as much as we could. We started with a soda and cranberry juice ($3.50) and a hot tea...($3.00). Service was good albeit a bit slow for only a few tables in the restaurant at 1:30 in the afternoon. They also placed all three groups of customers at side by side booths. Lots of empty tables but for some reason, placed us all beside each other. Seemed weird. We shared turkey meatballs (three large meatballs for $11.75) which came in a mushroom cream sauce. Lovely. We also enjoyed a "toast" selection where we could choose three different toasts and we had the BELT (bacon, arugula, tomato), wild mushroom and beet - all were fabulous ($9)! We munched on "loaded tater tots ($6.95) which were sinful but oh, so good! Add to this fantastic list, caramelized Brussels sprouts ($6.50) and we were in heaven! We also decided to try the Split Pea Soup ($5.50) which was extremely hardy and I took the portion home that we couldn't quite fit in our tummies. I would definitely go back for lunch or dinner. The quality of the food and inventiveness was very, very good. A nice and reasonable choice to indulge in on Macleod Trail!More
