I’m familiar with Paramount as I frequent the Montreal Airport location and was pleased to see one in Toronto. I order Chicken Shawarma Plate. The two young ladies at the cash mumbled several things which I asked them to repeat and in a louder voice...through their masks asked “Spicy Potato, Rice”? Confused, I replied yes as a sample of spicy potatoes and rice are a part of the plate, right? What was delivered to me outside at the table was a plastic container with a bunch of soggy spiced potato cubes and a bit of dried out chicken. I’m guessing they scraped the bottom for that. Also a plastic bag with a large piece of dried out pita bread. Super disappointed as I should have more closely checked the receipt - which indicated and additional $2 for “SUB SPICYPOTATO” I clearly asked for a Chicken Shawarma Plate. If I wanted two items, chicken and a heap of sub standard potatoes, I would have said so. Long story short - always check your receipt to ensure you get what you wanted. I was so mad at myself that nothing tasted good and I ate half of it and trashed the rest. I usually enjoy Lebanese food, not tonight, and not Toronto. As a matter of fact I will never eat there again and will tell 10 people of my experience. I will still go to the YUL (Montreal Airport location) as I’m guaranteed excellent well made delicious food, and splendid service.
