Went here for dinner with some friends. It was the first fine dining experience with friends since the beginning of the pandemic. We had reservations, so we were immediately seated on arrival after our vaccine passport check. After ordering drinks we ordered dinner, and tried...the following: - Beef Tartare - prepared tableside, so amusing to watch the first time. Our friends ordered it as well, so we actually got to watch it twice. It was a pretty good tartare. A little more bread would have been nice. - Bistro Filet - a well prepared steak done medium-well. I like the peppercorn sauce but I thought the frites (fries) were limp and disappointing. - Bouillabaisse - my wife really enjoyed her bouillabaisse. She says most bouillabaisse dishes she had in the past has too much tomato, but this one was really flavourful and nicely balanced. - Chocolate Fonant - Nice. A solid dessert. Service was mixed. Server was actually really friendly, but didn't find her too knowledgeable about the menu. She was also on the over-attentive side, that is, she seemed to come by more often than needed to ask questions and check up on us which I found a bit distracting. Overall, it was a nice dinner, probably made better because it's been so long since I've gone out with friends for dinner. It was reasonably priced (for downtown standards), some good food, and adequate service. I wouldn't feel a need to go back on my own choice, but if invited to go back there again, I wouldn't refuse either. I would put at 3.5 stars.
