We were at Shops at Don Mills for a Doctors visit which ended around lunchtime. This Congee Queen is located just steps away from the Shops so we decided to have lunch here. Compared to the Mississauga branch which is right beside Seafood City and...Jollibee in Mississauga this branch is unassuming with hardly any decor.The interiors was typical of basic Chinese restaurants, no decor whatsoever just like Chinese tea houses. There was also no queue to enter maybe because of the COVID protocol and restrictions. Before we were allowed inside we were asked to show a proof of vaccination and shortly after we were ushered into a cubicle table. We ordered Seafood Fried rice which came with small shrimps, slivers of chicken and chopped green onions. We also ordered vegetable with mushroom(in oyster sauce), Roast Pork and Soya Chicken. All were very satisfying and tasty. We were not able to finish our orders so we took home our left overs. The only difference of this branch in Don Mills with the Mississauga branch is the beautiful interiors of Mississauga Congee Queen. Eating here is very filling.
