We normally do not go out for NYE dinner - service and food are generally mediocre at most. However, the NYE dinner at Tocador was a winner and an excellent way to ring in the New Year. Comprised of 7 dishes, the set menu started...with fish crudo followed by a salad, squash, squid, pork, agnolotti finished with a cookie and the best stewed strawberries and ice cream. To isolate a favourite dish would be a crime, but I would say it was all good - and filling! The visit was so enjoyable that our friends returned for dinner again the following week. One thing we didn’t have this time, but had before, was the chickpeas - so good! Must come back!More
