I saw the good reviews of this place on Yelp and TripAdvisor so took my family here for lunch. I’m glad we did. It’s a small unassuming place with only about 20 or so seats. When full seated, it gets quite tight. We ordered two...of their 3-item lunch specials plus a vegetable tempura udon and chicken kaarage. All the food was cooked/prepared fresh and was decent quality. Food did take longer than expected but I’m OK with that if freshly prepared. The entire meal only cost $30 which is unbelievable. Service was not bad. They were a bit rushed but refilled our tea and water regularly. Vancouver recently introduced pay parking to this area but I think it’s only $1/hr. The pay parking lot behind the legion is $1.25/hr. Overall, a good visit. Decent food at incredibly affordable prices. My wife has already marked down this place as her new Japanese takeout spot.
