Clean small family run restaurant with authentic traditional quisine. The host (Dad) is friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The cook (Mom) knows her stuff. This restaurant has a diner vibe with a very relaxed atmosphere. The owners are accommodating to guests' requests (adjust music volume). Our...group ordered 2 appetizers; saganaki (grilled cheese) and calamari (breaded squid) . Both dishes were very tasty. The saganaki was not lit on fire, but was dried crisp. We ordered 4 main dishes; 2x kleftico (roasted boneless lamb), chicken souvflaki, and garlic ribs with small Greek salad. All dishes fully met expectations and passed the "real thing" test. The portion sizes were fine. I personally would prefer a bit more fat in the Lamb, but the other guest was most pleased with the lean meat. The souvlaki and ribs were both toasty goodness with a delicious lemon butter sauce. All mains came with rice, potatoes, and vegetables. Our group ordered 3 desserts; bougatsa (hot philo wrapped custard), ekmek (cold layered custard, philo, and pistachio), and lemon cake (brown cake saturated in lemon sauce). All excellent choices, so I recommend ordering all three and take home what you don't eat. So pleased this couple has moved to Calgary and opened this new restaurant. Highly recommended.
