What an unexpected and wonderful experience, my friend and I had for lunch today! We arrived early just moments before the proprietor of New Queen Dine-In and Take-Out Restaurant was opening up for lunch. We were shown in and seated. Noticing that we were undecided,...as we were studying the menu; he made some suggestions how he could possibly help. He informed us the majority of the items were westernized Canadian Chinese food catered to their regular clientele! After I informed him that I am quite a fussy eater and there are certain vegetables that I preferred not be present in my food; the owner told us that he could modify some of the dishes to our taste be substituting those particular veggies. We were not aware that these dishes were so large until he told us that we could keep it down to 2 dishes and it would be plenty for two grown men! He was not wrong, actually there were enough food left for a third person! With the owner and chief cook’s recommendations had a lovely and enjoyable meal. The Cantonese Chow Mein and Singapore Noodle were perfect to our liking!More
