We have been going to Bul Go Gi house for 40 years. Sad to say that our visit this month will be our last! Since the restaurant has changed ownership we have watch it decline very quickly. The quality, quantity and overall taste is so...poor now that it’s almost laughable!! We knew there would be some changes with new owners and that’s to be expected. Unfortunately the changes are NOT for the better. Dinner for two was over $70 and there were no leftovers. (We are not big eaters) Full order of deep fried vegetables had approximately 7-8 pieces with no sweet potato. I told the waitress we ordered a full order not half and she replied that was a full order. Bul Go Gi had barely any meat and not a single mushroom to be found. The deep fried pork had one very tiny piece of pineapple, 2 slices of onion and one slice of green pepper and the pork was horrible!! The increase in price is not at all conducive with portion sizes. We expressed concerns to the new owner on a couple of visits. I appreciate her reasoning on why they don’t give bowls of rice free anymore but that’s about all I appreciate!! Bul Go Gi house has been a landmark restaurant in Edmonton for many years and I’m very sad to have to say GOODBYE ?More
