The service at the Dundurn location is always very warm and courteous and the food is good. We eat there year round on a frequent basis except if out of country. The breakfasts, they have always provided to our individual tastes. This is not the...case at many breakfast places where you get what they serve not what you asked for. This, like most breakfast places is not a 5 star hotel high end expensive place, But it gives great value for the price range it is in which is very affordable. The service has always been courteous and friendly and they have striven to meet our needs every visit and make sure we are satisfied. When my wife was ill one time and did not come as usual they provided me with a large cup of hot tea to take to her gratis and without request by me. We have had their fish both in store and as take home and have never had an issue. We have always been served very good home fries at breakfast which even I like, though I normally do not do potatoes for breakfast, and seldom do home fries, and they willingly replace those with tomatoes on my request. I am a regular google reviewer. There are those who simply can not be satisfied and unfortunately are often the ones submitting reviews rather than those who enjoy their meals. I strongly suggest not putting much faith in reviews like some here when choosing places to eat. You will miss some good meals. The worst, unless all reviews are the same, are usually more about the reviewers general life or the day they are having that day and less about the real experience. And some are demanding louts determined to be unfriendly, unsatisfied, and treat their servers like servants. If you try a place a couple of times and don't like it, then move on for a while. Even restaurants though can simply have a bad day now and then too, particularly now with what they have been through during covid and the lack of people wanting to work in the industry.
