We have had an early summer lunch now three times at Local & are impressed with their Covid-19 precautions & pleasant efficient staff. Because we have gone from quasi vegetarian to a full Whole Foods Plant Based lifestyle we have chosen the in house made...mushroom/veggie burger, one with the side or Greek salad & the other with their excellent yam fries, as a special treat, as we’re avoiding refined oils within our dietary lifestyle also. They had an excellent edamame starter but looks like the menu changed somewhat so will try their Beet Hummus maybe next time if we share the burger. We’ve enjoyed sitting outside in the sun the last two visits. Great place for bikers with the most amazing hanging bike rake where the bikes are safe inside the entry way & pooches are welcome apparently, as there’s a tie rail & water available. It’ll be our regular place no doubt now through the year, traveling into Vancouver to visit a family member in the nearby Care home. And hopefully we will be able to bring that person with us for a nice lunch one day soon! ?? The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was we asked if the coffee was fresh, but it came to the table not hot. ☕️ The staff are all friendly & attentive & one is already remembering us after just a couple return visits, which makes it personal & appreciative in these isolating times. ???More
