Some friends invited to dinner at Le Paradis to celebrate a birthday and while they had been there many times for whatever reason I knew nothing about this place. It was interesting to find a French Bistro on the edges of Yorkville, clearly popular with...many affluent locals but one which was actually a very reasonably priced restaurant. A casual menu presented within the context of a much fancier restaurant. The wine list similarly presented affordable wines which were not marked-up nearly as much as they would be at other restaurants. The food was solid with all the classics you would expect, all very tasty, with excellent attentive service. If you are searching for five-star French cuisine this is not where you’re going to find it, but for a satisfying meal that allows you to spend unhurried time with friends its popularity speaks for itself.
