DineOut Vancouver promo - food was delicious, service delightfully unintrusive. Asparagus and crab salad to start, very subtle flavors and I was expecting it to be warm but was served quite cool. Flat-iron steak as main, beautiful flavors, perfectly-cooked and a very generous portion. Served on a bed of (wild?) mushrooms, veg and some flavorful puree. I love how this dish allowed the natural beef flavor to dominate rather than using a lot of sauce. My partner had a perfectly cooked Halibut fillet, I am not a lover of fish, but the small piece I tasted of this was really delicious and the portion was generous. Finally, a salted caramel brownie with vanilla ice-cream is one of the best desserts I have had in a long time, again the portion was so generous that I was lucky to enjoy the remainder of the brownie next day with a coffee - I will return for this brownie alone! I loved our server, he was so polite and professional and just the perfect level of interaction I would have preferred my food to be warmer (tbf I did not consider this until afterward) and the background music could have been more unintrusive (admittedly this is subjective) but overall we really enjoyed our meal here and will certainly look forward to eating from this kitchen again.
