Mixed experience. Great pub to watch the sport, the barman was very welcoming. We both ordered roasts - the beef and gravy was delicious. However, the sprouts were rock solid and difficult to cut up or bite into. A steak knife and some brute strength...were no match for them . I mentioned this to the staff who agreed to provide me with some replacements. A bowl of somewhat burnt sprouts, just as hard but cut up into pieces was offered up. Helpful or passive aggressive? I’ll let you decide. It left us feeling a little uncomfortable to be honest and we left fairly hastily. It was a shame as the rest of the plate was great and my feedback was genuine.
