Quite a treat. This was our first time to Vancouver and we stayed in a hotel downtown. It seemed everything was either a chain or attached to a hotel. The Royal Dinette became an oasis we went to twice for dinner and had a great...meal both times. The food is fresh and wonderfully prepared and tabled. I particularly recommend the gnocchi with asparagus. The sauce is a puréed asparagus that is light and delicious. Each meal we also split a salad and both of them were excellent. Fresh mix of vegetables, and very light but tasty dressing. The atmosphere is calm, friendly, and welcoming. The service was timely and accommodating of the way we hoped to have the meal presented. I come back to the gnocchi. Actually that’s why we came back to the restaurant a second time. The gnocchi was homemade, fried, light, and that sauce!More
