"""Having corner to corner buildings that criss-cross underground--most welcome in December, in Montreal \n--made this a very unique stop, as if we made two museum stops instead of one. That the permanent collection and interactive family activities had free admission over the holiday season was most excellent. An encyclopedic pavilion of Quebec and Canadian art, indigenous and Western works, was a half our visit. The art history of the city and province, pre-and post New France, was a detailed invite to see and admire more. \nThe comprehensive decorative arts gallery--early Western object plus modern and contemporary, with that same red hue in the Rietveld chair as a familiar IKEA watering can--was amazing and overwhelming.
