Chez Claudette, with its charming exterior (including a painting of "Rocket" Richard), is without a doubt a Montreal foodie landmark. It serves up really affordable greasy spoon specialties, from hot dogs to hamburger steak to lasagna; but what really sets it apart are its poutines....I tried the "New York" poutine (with beef and and mushrooms) and it was probably the best poutine I've had; You owe it to yourself to try this place and for those wishing to try poutine for the first time, bring them icitte :) Service was really good too.
