It is difficult sometimes, said our Chef instructor, to be appreciative when others cook for us, especially when we have suggestions that we know would make the meal being presented even better. “Obviously you haven’t been to our house around dinner time!” shouted my wife...to the amusement of all : ) The class was called On The Bone during which was demonstrated three dishes: Korean Style BBQ Short Ribs with Thai Mango Salad, Rack of Lamb with roasted Roma tomatoes, and Hoisin Glazed Baby Back Ribs with Asian Sesame Slaw. We were told if you don’t like these meals you have only yourself to blame (LOL) as after each demo we were set loose to replicate what we just saw. For foodies let me share why this experience was so wonderful. Equipment: Wolf Range, Wusthof knives and All Clad cookware. Better still was all ingredients mis en place and nary a thought about the clean-up afterwards. Heaven. For those who enjoy the eating part each meal was complimented with wines by the school. For me, the best part was being able to corner the Chef to have questions answered that have been on my mind for a long while e.g. from soup to nuts. (See what I did just there? That would be yer food idiom LOL) It was a terrific experience which we hope to enjoy again one day with one of the many other classes they offer.
