Raj Palace Restaurant on 6th Ave. is the only restaurant in Calgary downtown core where one can find authentic south Indian cuisine. In addition to the standard South Indian vegetarian fare like dosa, idli, pongal etc, they also offer Chettinad style meat and sea food...dishes. The place is slightly cramped and service is slow unless you opt for their lunch buffet that features a lot of interesting items that you do not come across in a standard Indian restaurant. In that aspect, Raj Palace Restaurant is unique.
