We stopped into Shade at the Ramada Hotel before checking out of our hotel room for a quick breakfast and found it to be empty but for one man sitting at a table by himself. The waiter, an older man came right over, handed us...a menu and asked if we'd like some coffee. About 25 minutes later, as we watched him from our table wandering around in the back of the restaurant, he showed up with the coffee and proceeded to take our order. It was a full 45 minutes before we actually received any food and then we had to repeatedly wait while he brought butter and more coffee. During the time we were there we observed that there were 7 tables in the restaurant which had not been cleared since we had arrived, As for the food, it was good. Not great but good. The atmosphere in this restaurant is very lacking.....somewhat like a cheap bar area on one side and a large home dining room on the other....not a place where you'd want to have a relaxing dinner.
