Liberty recently reopened under new management.
Liberty recently reopened under new management. (If I remember correctly, Liberty was started by a Danish couple who at one time had a place called Elsie’s on Yew Street in Kitsilano, now occupied by Viva Fine Foods.) We have been at the Main street location...a couple of times lately—once because Coco et Olive across the street was full. The current owners seem to have kept some of the recipes of the previous owners. Usually I end up having a piece of Tosca cake, but of course there is much more. Croissants, various cakes, cookies, Danishes, soup, sandwiches. Comfy place for coffee and dessert, or if you can’t get into Coco et Olive!More
