I tried this restaurant out of my desire to maintain a relatively (decent) low carb diet. I had the middle eastern bowl, and the crack slaw. The middle eastern bowl was just okay, especially compared to a similar offering at Lola’s. It was a small...portion for the price I paid, with very little in the way of protein (there were little cubes of chicken, which were cold, and sort of spongey in texture). I added some tofu to it as well, which was tasty. Would I get it again? Likely not - but I would be interested in trying some of the other options, in the event that this bowl isn’t a true reflection of this restaurant’s offering. What was interesting was their “crack slaw”, which is essentially stir fried cabbage with some other veggies. In true low carb dieting culture, “crack slaw” is basically a lazy way of making meat and veggies; you grab one of those salad bags that have a ton of cabbage, and add beef to it. I was surprised that by its name and low carb pitch, it didn’t really reflect what the meal truly entails. In any case, a decent, healthy meal overall, but wouldn’t call it a favourite!More
