This was our first dinning out experience since the start of the pandemic. Manitoba has vaccine passports in place and only double vaccinated guests are permitted at restaurants. Woohoo! Upon entering the restaurant, they check for your vaccination proof and you will need to show...your ID as well to confirm that it matches with your card. They also have hand sanitizer and there are partitions for each table. While we were there it was evident that staff strategically place guests in tables with enough distance apart. All tables are useable but why pack everyone close together if you can spread them out. It was much appreciated! Staff also wear their masks continually and while we were there, patrons only removed their masks to eat/drink and put them back on in between. I don’t think it’s required but we’re all still being careful…at least those of us that were there that day. We both opted for burgers and coffee, both of which were delicious. Honestly, not one complaint. Staff were friendly and attentive…and we realize it still must be very stressful for them every day. It was a wonderful experience and I would certainly return for another meal. They also have a patio so you can dine outside if you’re not ready to eat inside with other people just yet. However, wasps/hornets are an issue at the moment in Winnipeg. Overall, good food, great service, and most importantly, I felt totally safe dining inside there during this never ending pandemic.
