It's wasn't easy to find good Colombian food locally until Calipan opened. Great staff, friendly and helpful, fantastic food and excellent prices. Colombian empanadas are deep fried, corn flour bundles of deliciousness - crispy and savoury. Calipan's are very traditional, filled with either beef or...potatoes. Other offerings include pan de bono, a delicately not-too-sweet yucca flour pastry... Colombian cooking's reliance on corn and yucca flours gives tasty gluten-free options too.
