This is nuke central. Long live the microwave. NOTHING is fresh here. And you have the opportunity to get treated like a nuisance, too. The people working there were either disinterested in providing service or preoccupied with fighting with each other. Taken together, a true...value for your money. I ordered a sausage sandwich that a disgruntled and utterly angry portly lady wrapped into aluminium foil and unceremoniously placed into a clamshell toaster for what seemed like an eternity. Then she turned her back on me and disappeared without a word, expecting one would know the drill here. The entire experience reminded me of the Soup (word censored by TripAdvisor) episode of Seinfeld, where precise knowledge and exact execution of a choreography of ordering steps buys you the right to order food. When they served the sandwich to me, the sausage was still cold. Their solution was to give the sandwich a good nuke in the microwave. The result: a soggy, sad mess. And tasteless! oh so tasteless. We were stupid enough to also order a piece of pizza which they proceeded to nuke also. It tasted worse than any frozen supermarket pizzas tastes like. There is a large assortment of prefabricated foods that they will happily nuke for you when you order it. Nothing good ever came out of a microwave, not even popcorn -- have you guys at Motta not heard of this?? What is Italian about nuking the food and sometimes a bit more for good measure? I have never seen such a thing in any place in Italy. Motta serves a sad excuse for proper Italian food. But sometimes homestyle cooking is just that -- food you might get at home, leftovers reheated in a microwave, produced by an untrained chef who cooks with love but not always with good taste.
