Great news people.... I have finally found the best breakfast in Winnipeg.... For all those fans of the original White Tower restaurant, I am happy to say that Yvonne is back and running Kristina's Cafe, located on the mezzanine level of the Toromont Cat building,...140 Inksbrook Dr. The restaurant is just a short distance from the corner of Inkster Blvd and Route 90 and is easily accessible through the front doors of the Toromont Cat building. There is lots of free parking just outside doors. While the majority of customers are company staff and associates, a large mobile sign on the boulevard welcomes any and all passer-bys. Once upstairs, you will find lots of seating and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is simple, hearty and made with the best of ingredients. You will NOT leave hungry. Daily specials compliment a menu that includes breakfast items, burgers and sandwiches. All are very reasonable priced. Take the breakfast special, for instance..... three thick sliced pieces of bacon, two eggs, real potatoes pan fried, two pieces of toast AND coffee for a total of $6.50. I should mention that there is no table service - you will need to order at the counter and pick up your food when it's ready. You should also know that they only accept cash.
