I met a former work colleague for lunch at Il Fornetto and the restaurant did not disappoint. We sat outside and startedour lunch with calamari fritti which was excellent. As a main dish, I had the piccata a la Il Fornetto which was delicious and...was served with a generous herlping of side vegetables. My colleague had one of their oven-cooked pizzas, which she said was excellent. The wine selection was excellent as was the service. This is one of the best restaurants overlooking the Lachine Canal.
