The food absolutely makes up for aforementioned shortcomings. Three of us tried food for 6 people!!, appetizers and all sorts of mains. Well presented, delicate balance of tastes - flavors and aromas aplenty. Chef's special (mixed sweet rice and lamb shank) was quite good. My...Quebecois friends loved it, and Kaboul will be my Montreal dining entertainment venue. Best of all - food is very reasonably priced, and offered in a very pleasant surroundings.
