The place has changed since the original location in Granville. Went there many years ago when Vikram would meet guests. The food then was amongst the best in the world. Times have changed. First the good: Service was excellent. Friendly and prompt. The ambiance and...decor was very nice. Lighting, music, and decor was wonderful. Now the not so good: Unforgivable that the naan was served ice cold. The server remedied this , but this is a faux pas that one wouldn’t see in a your local Dhaba. The paneer was rubbery and lacked flavour. (The chicken coconut curry dish was fine). Too bad. I thought Vij’s was the place the break the old adage that the only place to eat Indian food is in someone’s home. Perhaps this was a covid thing with staffing. Hope they can return to their former glory.
