Today I decided to give this restaurant a 2nd try because the first time I went, they gave us drinking water that smelt like toilet water. It was probably a water pipe issue but it doesn't take away the fact that the water smelt like...toilet water. For the 2nd visit, I ordered a kalguksu which is a Korean take on chicken noodle soup. In it, I had found a long piece of hair (about 2 inches long) and lost my appetite immediately. However, because it was a noodle soup, I didn't see the hair until I reached 75% through the bowl as it was lodged between the onion pieces. When I asked the waiter to come and assess the situation, she came back offering only 50% off the whole dish. I understand these are hard times for restaurant owners but I felt that I've been disappointed by this restaurant. First with the toilet water and then the hair in my food. They should have owned up to their mistake instead of trying to pin it on some random "dust story." Honestly, doesn't matter what the back story is -- if there is hair in someone's food, you should either a) REPLACE the whole DISH or b) OFFER A REFUND. Safe to say, my friends and I will never be coming back to this establishment because it's unsanitary and I do not recommend for anyone to come to this restaurant either. There's better Korean restaurants less than a block away.
