Had to come to Ottawa (30-odd km. from home) on business. Stopped for dinner at Kelsey's about 5 p.m. Not a huge crowd, given the time. My congenial hostess was also my server. She conducted me to a table, gave me a menu, and took...my order for a beverage (ice water and lemon, despite an outside temperature of about -20 degrees Celsius!). When she returned with my water, I told her I was ready to order (I had looked at the menu on line and knew just what I wanted). About 15 minutes later, my meal came up: lemon pepper Atlantic salmon fillet, with mixed veggies, and a Caesar salad (which I had substituted in place of basmati rice). The salmon came on a basil pesto aeoli. The combination was very tasty. The veggies were barely al dente (just right!). The Caesar, delicious (although it should have had more shredded cheese!). It was a sufficient meal, and I did not bother with dessert. To my server's credit, she brought my cheque quite quickly after gathering up my dishes. A decent meal, all in all!More
