From the centre of Montréal this little restaurant, here for 30 years, is about 2km away- a short texu ride to a sweet little neighbourhood. Grand-mère who started the place still is the star influence along with their brother and grandson - it is a...family business - and you feel welcomed as if family. We came back again a few days after the first time and but for leaving Montréal would have tried their famous Sunday brunch. We had never eaten Iranian food before. If this was emblematic of the cuisine it was absolutely delicious. I am sure this was partly down to old, old recipes that Grandmother brought with her. Lamb met the subtle flavours of dried fruits, spices, tomatoes over long, slow cooking. We had a range of marvelous dips, both warm and cold with beautifully paired ingredients in each one, unique in their flavours. The desserts were very traditional and also variations that demonstrated such skill of knowing how much, for how long to the creation of each one. Even the delicious cardoman tea was wonderful. 'Le Dizzy' à Sunday special is a must try.
