I stopped her for dinner one night, as I saw it won Silver last year in the Vancouver Magazine awards last year. I tried the following: - Beef Stew in Clay Pot with Bread - OK. Stew was a tad thicker than most, and had...a little bit of a deeper flavour. I'm not sure the clay pot did anything. I though the bread was a bit stale. - Steamed Rice Roll with Pork & Ham - OK. It was a decent dish, but didn't seem any different from other times I've had this dish from other restaurants or Vietnamese deli shops. - Egg Coffee - OK. First time ever trying it. It was far sweeter than I expected. In fact so sweet, I couldn't finish it. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, it was OK. Not sure why it won such a high ranking in the annual Vancouver Magazine rankings. I liked the focused menu but didn't find the dishes we ordered particularly special. Service was pretty good though. Might try again to give it another chance.
