Went here for brunch with the family at the request of my son. He got a free gift card from one of his sports camps. De Dutch is a chain of restaurants, with a few locations in Vancouver. We arrived around 10:0am, and the place...was empty. We were quickly greeted by the server and went to our table. The place did start filling up closer to 11:30am. We had: - Bratwurst and Eggs Pannekoek - Average all around. Not the best quality bratwurst or eggs, but it was cooked right and a decent size. Pannakoek is thinner than a pancake, but thicker than a crepe. - Banana, Strawberry and Whip - Again average. Tasted just as one would expect. - Kid's Apple and Cinnaomon - Again average. Service was standard level. Attentive enough that my water was always filled. She had a hard time keeping up as the place got busier. Not sure if another server was going to show up after we left, because the place was half full by that time. Depending on the day of the week, it might be hard to find street parking, especially on weekdays. Weekends not so much a problem when most other businesses are closed. Overall, it was OK. My kids were split - one said they would go back, the other didn't. I'm glad I had the gift card, because I'm not entirely convinced that I would want to pay full price for what I got. Average quality, good size, but a bit expensive.
