My family and I went for our 'Xmas' dinner, and we couldn't be more pleased with the choice. Kensington Market has quite a few vegan options, but we had never been to Saigon Lotus. The decor is beautiful; verdant, with lots of plants and a...beautiful shrine with fountain. The seating is very comfortable, and the whole ambiance is very soothing. The menu is huge, with a majority of dishes being vegan. (Everything else is labelled clearly). You sip on complimentary and bottomless green tea, and then write your choices on an order sheet. Minutes later, you will be inundated with a plethora of colourful and delicious dishes. We sampled pho, pad thai, unreal fried spring rolls, curry vermicelli tofu, lemongrass stir-fry, and a few other dishes, including a number of mock meats. The ginger caramel chicken was outrageously delicious. The two vegans were in heaven. The non-vegan loved it as well. I think we had about 6 entrees, brought food home, and spent about $70.00. We will absolutely be back, again and again.
