The food is the definite strength to this restaurant until you observe into its open kitchen. Food safe practices are broken regularly as we saw chefs drop food onto the floor just to pick it up and put it back onto cooking surfaces. Ducks are...left in the open in the basement unattended for hobos and flies alike to enjoy before served to customers. Service is a memorable highlight as it is laughable as we had servers stare at our table all night as we had to ask for bowls after our soup arrived and glasses after our wine arrived. As servers continued to stand and stare blankly at our table, our dirty plates and dishes laid longing to be picked up like the last person that continues to dance even as the night club turns on its lights. After a painfully long time of being neglected, exasperated, I got up to go to front counter to pay in shame for my unimpressed guests. Half of us were getting up when our server stopped us to tell us we cant leave because we haven't had our dessert yet. When we sat back down, we looked in wide eyed comical horror as they scooped watery dessert out of a giant plastic container not 2 meters from our table into separate bowls. Not only were they disgustingly distinctly room temperature, they were grossly watery from the obvious lack of mixing the giant container of dessert before serving. The server then struggled to find space to serve us a single bowl of aforementioned watery dessert as we all had dirty plates, cups and bowls scattered all over the table. This level of table service would be unacceptable at the busiest McDonald's let alone a restaurant where multiple servers stood staring blankly at our table the entire night. To sum up... there is a Pacific Ocean between what they think they are offering and what is acceptable here in Vancouver. I give zero ducks if this place closed down. Their famous roast duck served on a kiwi slice and a pringle chip. It can be described like their service: an absolute waste of potential and a total travesty.
