I went for high tea and had a lovely meal. The savory canapes were excellent. I especially loved the shrimp cocktail, roasted stuffed mushroom as well as scallop and lobster bites. The prosciutto and asparagus were nice. The tomato on the caprese tomato appetizer had...little to no flavor but the balsamic reduction was very, very good. The "sweets" were also delicious and i especially liked the cream puff. I am perhaps unusual in that I am more concerned about the tea then the sweet treats. I had never had Kusmi tea and was unsure about the brand. I was hoping for Lapsang souchong but they did not have smokey teas available. After a consultation with staff i choose the Russian morning tea which was a blend of ceylon and china black tea. It was excellent. The tea was served in a clear tea pot over a warming candle with beautiful china cups. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They answered all my questions and I had a nice conversation with the young lady behind the counter. Overall Soffee Cafe was a great experience. Wonderful tea, lovely atmosphere, nice staff and excellent canapes.
