I frequent the Queenston Rd and Paramount locations and hadn’t been to the Upper James for quite some time. 4 of us went for dinner and our server immediately told us they were short staffed. No problem but we looked around and there were 4...servers and only 9 tables. Our drink orders were taken, 20 minutes later they came. Then we ordered our food and another drink and waited. They apps came, then the food. The burgers were extremely covered in pepper, to the point my wife couldn’t eat it. The buffalo chicken sandwich came out black, burnt. I eat this sandwich regularly and there was nothing golden about it. None of us finished our meals, they were awful. When we had pushed all our meals away our second drinks arrived. By this point we had had enough. 2 1/2 hours for awful food and horrible service. The restaurant floor footprint is quite small and when we had to go looking for a server you know there’s a problem.
