Our second night in Vieux-Port, Old Montreal, and looking for a uniquely Quebecois/French dining experience. We had viewed the menu earlier in the day and eschewing the more touristy haunts, entered La Sauvagine on Rue St. Paul. The setting is cozy, the service impeccable, and...an amazing menu selection combining uniquely Quebec cuisine, including a variety of game meats, with French bistro overtones. Additionally, there is a substantial wine and spirits selection. This is a hidden gem, not yet discovered by the masses, and well worth a visit.
