Every Canadian has ‘that’ Chinese (Canadian) food restaurant they know and love in some random small town in northern Ontario or rural Alberta. You know it: the vibrant red ‘sweet ‘n sour’ sauce on chicken balls or pork, or the Lotto 649 winning (losing) numbers...in the fortune cookie slips. This is that restaurant! Except, it’s in downtown Toronto! I recommend checking this place out when the Friday post-work cravings for something satisfying and comforting kicks in. Shanghai Noodles with pork and shrimp — yes, amazing! Spring rolls? Yes! Oh, one caveat - TAKE OUT - it’s not exactly a great ambience. But the food is great. Take it out, with a box of wine = heaven.
