This place is right downtown, at the corner of Rue de la Gauchetiere and Boulevard Robert-Bourassa, but you may hunt for it in vain unless you know that it’s buried two levels down inside the Bell Telephone office building. (Many of the office buildings in...the area seem to have food courts or restaurants buried inside them, probably mainly for the convenience of their workers; catering to such clientele probably also explains why this restaurant closes at the unusually early hour of 7 PM.) Once found, though, this is a small but pleasant, full-service Italian restaurant with a menu that includes a number of classic pastas. On the night my husband and I went, at about 6 PM, we had the place to ourselves except for two other small groups. The one woman who served the functions of hostess, bartender, server, and quite possibly owner was very helpful and friendly, and the food was good. We both had the chicken penne Bianca, which was a bit heavy on the sun-dried tomatoes, and the chicken breast pieces were also a bit dry. Prices are reasonable ($$), and dress is casual. It’s a nice little place—if you know where to find it.
